Here's the findings I discovered when researching what my audience want in the music videos they consume:

•Successful videos need a particular theme or storyline behind them.

• Reverse narrative intrigues the audience

• Focusing on more than one character is good, but focusing on too many can make the music video look like a clip montage.

• If the song has a narrative, so should the video.

• Sexualisation of characters is acceptable as long as it doesn’t go too far – nothing inappropriate for young children before 9pm.
